I think Bill Maher is right that Obama needs to be more like Bush.  Not in his policies, but in the way he gets his policies done.  Stop being a pussy and just say "Fuck you, I'm doing this.  Come along for the fucking ride."  That's what G.W. did and he got shit done.  It was the wrong shit 99% of the time, but it still got done.  Obama could use some of that "Texas moron" hootspa.  Grow a pair, Barack.

1. Why is this Sleepy Eye kid news?  I don't give a shit.  He has cancer, his mom doesn't want him to get chemo...I don't know...whatever.  Let's see how she feels when he dies.  Not that I want the kid to die, but he says he doesn't want chemo either.  If they're that ignorant, fuck 'em.  One less idiot (yes, I know that's harsh and he's only 12, but...what do you want me to do about it).

2.  Fuck American Idol.  It's glorified karaoke and most of the people who have come out of that show suck ass.  Kelly Clarkson has some decent songs, and so does Carrie Underwood, other than that...no.  Ruben "big fat black guy" Studdard?  Who cares.  Fuck that guy.  Clay "I'm not gay, now I am, now I'm a dad and I'm still worse than Michael Bolten" Aiken?  Who cares.  Fuck that guy too.  I can't even name anyone else who won that show.  Did that one dude win a couple years ago...what was his name...ummm...grey haired guy...whatever, I don't care anymore.  Fuck them all.

3. Dancing with the Stars.  Seriously?  In what world are people that I've never heard of like, Ty Murray and Melissa Rycroft stars?  And seriously when was the last time David Alan Grier did anything star worthy? Oh yeah, never.  Denise Richards?  Please.   I've never watched a single moment of this and I never will.  X-list "celebrities" dancing doesn't interest me.  (ps. Thank you google for names of people on this god awful show).

4. Flo Rida.  Are you fucking serious? 

5. Bad things happening to good people.  Whatever.  Life sucks, buy a fucking helmet.

6. Hayden Panettiere, Mandy Moore, Brea Grant, Cobie Smulders, Natalie Portman, Kiera Knightly, or any of the other really good looking famous girls who aren't my girlfriend.  They can suck it.

Republicans who say they will fillibuster Obama's Supreme Court nomination are the same people who said that fillibustering Bush's picks was a terrible thing to do.  I know all politicians are hypocrites and assholes (regardless of party affiliation or how "nice" they seem) but come on.  Fuck politicians.  They're all fucking douchebags.  I think we should clear the house, the senate and the white house and start the fuck over.  You've been in office before?  Sorry, you can't come back.

03:06 pm - VEGAS!!!

I went to Vegas.  It was fun.  Carl hurt me...twice.  No one (that I know of) got laid.  Money was lost, fun was had, and sluts were viewed.  Haufbrauhaus = good food, bad service.  Seafood buffet at the Rio = 3 hours of awesomeness.  Roulette and blackjack at the El Cortez = Killer time.  The Golden Nugget = Good place to set up shop.  The Tank (The Nugget's pool) = Awesome place to relax, drink margaritas, and look at super hot chicks in bikinis.  You mom = missed me.

Watchmen was...ok I guess.  The visuals were pretty awesome, and they did pretty good with the story.  All in all...I give it 11 Monkeys on my patented rating scale.

I'm going to beautiful Las Vegas in 6 days.  It's going to be fantastic...I assume.  I love Vegas.  It is one of my favorite cities ever.  I don't gamble that much, and I'm not really into hookers but there's something about that desert oasis that just trips my trigger if you know what I mean.  The lights, the sounds, the disgusting sent of urine and desperation that permeates the entire city, the excess and the history, it is all wonderful.  For this entry I'm going to throw down some sweet Vegas quotes, and pictures for you to all enjoy.

Movies: I ordered a bunch of music documentaries (and one doc. on Hunter S. Thompson) from Netflix, so I guess it's that.
TV: LOST, Heroes, Chuck, How I Met You Mother
Book: I just read I Love You Beth Cooper and it was good.  I'm reading Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain now.  Good stuff.

I don't think a protein shake counts as "eating."  I guess I had a Jolly Rancher (watermelon) earlier.

Sleeping in, watching a movie or two, hanging out with friends drinking beer and playing lawn games in the yard.

Fantastic.


Seriously, The Dark Knight is one of the best movies I think I've ever seen.  I loved Batman Begins but it doesn't hold a candle to The Dark Knight.  If there aren't Oscars for Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart I'll be surprised.  Nolan deserves one too, as does the picture.


I will be seeing this many more times.

I'm seeing The Dark Knight tonight at midnight on the IMAX.  Giddy like a school girl doesn't even begin to describe my state of mind.   I've been waiting and waiting for this and it's finally here.  I'm such a nerd.
